Wrinkled heart of mine

Love at first sight?
Hmmm…. Cliché?
Are there any rules?
Can love exist on the hindsight too?
Can Love can sneak in from the backdoor?
Can it happen when you least expect?
With someone who seems
To be on another planet?
And maybe beyond your league?
Can it be more than an illusion?
Can it endure distance, time and silence?
It must be the affect of the Valentine’s decorations,
Today my pen bleeds.
And my cracked heart aches a little.
Yes, the heart, that I had presented you,
Decorated with bows and ribbons,
Maybe, you had to hush it away,
And there you placed it in,
That book, I once gave,
So my heart is now crushed, dusty and wrinkled.
Today, the intoxication is in the air.
For Cupid knows neither-
Astrology nor Psychology!
Love’s beautiful, yet insane!
Maybe we’ll never meet again.
Yet, you’ll always be alive,
In that torn, dusty,
Wrinkled heart of mine!
